Our doctors, nurses and all our other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service and the surgery website helps us to keep all our patients up to date with news and information about our practice.
We also participate in the local training programme for qualified doctors from the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We have qualified doctors working with us in the practice on a 4-month rotation

REPEAT MEDICATION REQUESTS: Please note: From 1st June 2021 telephone requests for repeat medication will no longer be accepted. From 1st June 2021 all requests should be made on-line or posted through the designated slot in reception.
Face to Face Appointments
We are still triaging by telephone prior to any face to face appointments. This is constantly under review and as soon as we receive clear guidance advising us we can introduce face to face appointments safely without the need to triage first, we will make the necessary changes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are currently operating COVID Vaccination Clinics here at the practice. Please contact reception to arrange an appointment.
In response to the Covid 19 virus and direction from national advice we are suspending our current appointment system. We will be moving to a system whereby all requests for appointments are triaged by telephone first.
During current restrictions, repeat medication requests can no longer be accepted at reception. You can still order your medication online, via the NHS app or over the phone. Telephone requests for repeat medication cannot be accepted before 10am.
The reason to do this is to protect everyone from Covid-19. We will deal with all we can by phone and for those patients that are needing a face to face appointment we will bring them to an appointment later in the day.
We realise that this will be inconvenient for some patients and we apologise for this. However, the reason for doing this is to reduce social contact and to minimise spread of the virus.
We would urge all patients to follow national guidance and to self isolate for 14 days if you and your family have a continuous cough or fever of 37.8.
If you are self isolating and are not able to manage your symptoms or are becoming more unwell, please follow the advice on NHS 111 on-line service or call them. Please DO NOT present at the surgery if you are suffering from these symptoms.
Please be assured that we are working hard to ensure that you continue to receive a high standard of medical care. We will continue to sort out repeat prescriptions, sick notes, vaccinations and other routine care. You just have to make a phone call first.
We will be continuously reviewing the guidance and the appointment system so that we can ensure that we are dealing with everyone to the highest standard.

The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff whilst also ensuring services are available to the public as normal

COVID 19- Face mask exemption
The Covid-19 vaccination programme has begun. When it is your turn to be vaccinated, the NHS will contact you. Please do not contact the NHS. In Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, a few different health and care organisations including hospitals, GP practices, care homes and others are working together on the Covid-19 vaccination programme. This means when it is your turn to be vaccinated, this may not be at your GP practice. You will be told where to go for your appointment and how to book. In line with expert guidance, the first priority for vaccination is care homes residents and staff, people over the age of 80 and frontline health and care workers. We understand a lot of people want to be vaccinated and would like to reassure you this will happen. Please be patient and wait to be contacted.

Any Bone, Joint or Muscle Pain can be assessed by a physiotherapist rather than the GP!
The physiotherapist will:
· Assess and diagnose what is happening
· Provide expert advice on how to help manage the symptoms
· Refer you to other services as appropriate

The Practice is now able to offer patients access to Admiral Nurses who specialise in Dementia care. If you’re caring for someone living with dementia you can call or email your local Admiral Nurse Clinic to make an appointment, to seek specialist advice, support and clinical guidance about dementia, in confidence.
Admiral Nurses have the skills, knowledge and experience to talk about, amongst others: • understanding the diagnosis, plus practical tips and advice for caring for a loved one with dementia • transition into nursing or residential home, or stays in hospital • understanding symptoms and changes in behaviour, and managing your own feelings

EPS4 - Electronic Prescriptions
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from Thursday, 12 March 2020.
If you have not already done so, you will need to nominate a pharmacy to receive your electronic prescription. If you do not already have a nominated pharmacy, please visit your desired pharmacy to arrange the nomination.
If you do not nominate a pharmacy, your prescription will still be sent electronically but you will have to collect a prescription token from the practice reception. A token is a paper version of your electronic prescription that you can take to any pharmacy. The token will provide a barcode to the pharmacy which they can scan and download your prescription. However, it is recommended that you nominate a pharmacy to make this process quicker and easier. You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time.
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS Money.
